At the top of these photos is the statue of Martin Luther in the Wittenberg square with St. Mary's church in the background. Beside him stands a statue of his co-laborer, Philip Melanchthon (pictured second). The band of pilgrims stands beneath the Luther statue in the third photo. And the last two photos are of Mrs. Luther's gate at the Luther home and the Wittenberg university lectern at the Reformation museum. The gate was commissioned by Luther's wife, and stands today as it was when built. The Reformation museum was the climax of the trip, a stunning historical collection of books, pulpits, and Luther items which one could spend a few days enjoying.

Wittenberg was the last stop and from there we drove the whole way back to K-town. I hope to make this trip again with the family. I had such a good time.
