Brent and I had a fun time celebrating my birthday this week. He took me to Da Gino's, a cute little Italian place in Landstuhl. We dined on bruschetta, prawns, and pizza. It was a lovely time. He also spoiled me with some beautiful roses! It's been a great 29 years!

i have a funny memory from the last time mike and i went to dagino's. he ordered only soups... because he still had his jaw completely wired shut! so he sucked the soup up through his shut teeth... but then they clogged up and he realized... he had NO TOOTHBRUSH to clean them out. i mean, tomato gunk coating his wires... SO GROSS. so he leaves to go to the car to brush his teeth and totally disappears for 45 minutes. turned out, he didn't have a toothbrush in the car, so he had to go to several german establishments (you know how they are, they don't always carry what you think they will carry and they close really early...) while i sat there alone, quietly chewing and waving off the worried owner of the restaurant. it was amusing. :)
