One Brave Girl

Yesterday we made our first trip to the ER with a child. Anne fell off her swing trying to get off of it and landed right on her chin. This terrible humidity had made it quite sticky to get off the swing, and so she made a more forceful attempt and ended up rather worse for the wear. Brent took her up to the ER where she behaved just beautifully and ended up with 3 stitches and some tape. The doctors said she was the best patient--better than most adults!

She's now quite proud of herself and is taking the whole thing very seriously. She very gravely showed me her wounds and told me what a brave girl she had been. Daddy went and got her some pink ice-cream as a treat last night. We really are very proud of her because she usually completely falls apart if she even needs a band-aid.

We love you, Anne, and hope this is the last of the stitches in this family!

Anne was so brave yesterday.
Tell her Mop-Mop and Pop-Pop are so proud of her and are praying for her boo-boo to heal.
