Living in Germany: The Doener Kebab
This is one of our family favorites. I've had a serious craving for them this entire pregnancy, Brent can devour them, and we recently discovered that Anne loves them, too! Good thing for us that a brand-new doener place opened just down the road from us. =)
These tasty sandwiches/wraps/whatever you call them are made from meat grilled on a big rotating skewer, then stuffed with lettuce, onions, marinated cabbage, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, and a delicious yogurt-based sauce. Our new local favorite has the BEST sauce, loaded with garlic.
I won't tell you how many times we've indulged recently, but let's just say that the guy at Qudo's already knows exactly what we like on our kebabs. =)
