In case you're wondering "Why all the John Mayer?"
Five years this month marks the anniversary of Brent asking me out on a first, "real" date. As in, I didn't just have some free tickets for a concert at Belhaven. He paid big money--especially for a poor seminary student!--to get tickets for us to see John Mayer in Jackson the following month.
I whooped, I hollered, I screamed all the way back to my dorm. =)
So, please try to humor me while I fondly remember those days.

i saw john mayer in concert once... just as he was starting to become famous. but i didn't go for him - it was a dual concert with the counting crows. the crows went first and they were INCREDIBLE - one of the best concerts i've been to... and then john mayer came out, all the teenage girls rushed to their seats, and i was completely underwhelmed. we left after a couple of songs. he was off key and that night at least, had no stage presence at all. it was a disappointment!!
He must have improved greatly over time, because we had a great time at the concert and found him to be an incredible live performer. =)
It probably also worked for us because I only had eyes for Brent and, well, he for me...=) Music? What music? John who?
