Two days beforehand, we threw Dad a surprise birthday/retirement party at the Pfarrheim. Food, a bluegrass band, a gift, and a champagne toast helped make the evening a lot of fun! (And we think he was pretty surprised!)
The Pfarrheim looks lovely. I am sure that Doug and Gertie were delighted and honored to have everyone there to share this special time with them.
Noele, you did a lovely job with the party. It amazes me that you were able to do all of this with a newborn and a nineteen month old!
Brent, the bluegrass band looks like fun and you look great sitting behind the microphone with the mandolin. We are so glad the mandolin made it there safely and in time for the party! Did anyone video tape the event?
